a plastic recycling enterprise in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany launched a brand-new waste plastic pelletizing line. Recycled plastics are mixed with iron nails, aluminum foils and copper joints. Single magnetic separation can only remove ferrous metals, and residual non-ferrous metals make plastic pellets unqualified for high-end blow molding containers.

The sorting system adopts matched front and rear equipment. First-stage permanent magnetic drum separators completely eliminate all ferrous impurities to protect rear eddy current rotors from abrasion. Second-stage concentric high-frequency eddy current separators accurately separate aluminum, copper and brass particles above 0.2mm. The concentric magnetic rotor delivers uniform magnetic field distribution to fit high-speed material conveying.

After putting into use, total metal residue of recycled plastics is lower than 3ppm, meeting EU standards for food-grade recycled plastics. The plant can sort and recover 65 tons of non-ferrous metals monthly, and revenue from metal sales covers full equipment operation and maintenance costs. Three surrounding plastic recycling manufacturers visited the factory to inspect the complete set of matching equipment.
